Mosaic Workshops
Mosaic Source provides quality, mosaic and art workshops. Mosaic Source caters to beginning students, weekend adventurers and professional mosaic artists alike in a fun, lively and enthusiastic environment.
Mosaic tile workshops are located in Orange County, CA in Los Alamitos. We are right off the 605/405 Freeway.
*Students participating in any of mosaic source classes can attend any of our on-going workshops to work on and complete their class projects. Please call/e-mail ahead to let us know your coming!

2011 Dates:
Introduction to Mosaics + BYOB $75
2 Hour Workshop + Grout Time
Dates: December 10th 2011
Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm
Create a 6"x 6" trivet using mosaic tile. Inspiring mosaic artists will learn the art of mosaic and the use of tools. Learn hands on while cutting tile to creae a small trivet to take home. BYOB if you'd like. No art or mosaic experience necessary. Workshop completed with grouting your project (may take an additional time to grout and finish your project).
What to bring: All supplies for this class are included and use of tools. BYOB/W if you desire!
Mosaic 101 is a great building block for students who want to study mosaics over a period of time, are interested in doing larger projects in the future, or just want to experiment with the mosaic medium.
Holiday Workshop + Eggnog and Cookies $40
Dates: December 16th
Time: 5:30pm-8pm
Workshop Fee: $40
Create mosaic trays, jewelry, coasters, votives and more for your friends and family! Listen to holiday music, BYOB and nibble on cookies as you create whimsical gifts! All materials are included! Create as many gifts in the workshop period.
Mosaic Session Non Instructional
Session Fee: $25 (3 hours) not including materials
$45 (3 hours) includes use of materials
Come in a create a mosaic of your choice, whether you are working on a mirror or special project for your home. This includes use of tools and adhesives but does not include materials. You can come in during any workshop and use this time to create something independently.
Direct Indirect Method Mosaic Intensive $220
Level: Beginner/Intermediate and beyond - 4 Week Course
Dates: December 5, 19, 27, January 2
Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm
Materials: All materials provided
This fun course is designed for both beginning and continuing mosaic art students who are interested in the reverse or indirect method of setting their tesserae. This method allows mosaic to be made in reverse but created direct to achieve the detail and realism they want to achieve with a surface that is totally flat and smooth. We will talk about cutting techniques, spacing, color, adhesive and will include the use of appropriate substrates and grout.
Take this workshop if you've always wanted to create a kitchen backsplash/bathroom mural, outdoor wall scene or want to understand how this process works. Also if you've wanted to create more detailed mosaics.
What to bring: Please email an image or drawing that you will be applying mosaic directly on before the workshop begins. Please do not bring an image larger than 12" x 12" or you may not be able to finish in class.
Private Mosaic Instruction $90 for a 2 hour private instruction
Choose at a time that is convenient for you. Ask questions and learn about instruction that is specific to your project.
This price is for private instruction only, not a group lesson.
